Brain Checker has been involved in several CSR Projects aimed at providing affordable and high-quality counselling services to students of government, semi-government and rural schools in India.
The Flagship Project currently being executed by Brain Checker is in the State of Haryana, through its Partner LDR Haryana which involves providing Career Counseling to over 3 Lakh Students (In Phase-1) and subsequently another 3.15 Students (In Phase-2) studying in Government Schools in Haryana in 9th to 12th Standard.
The Project involves offering Brain Checker Psychometric Test including Testing, Assessment, Reporting and Counseling Services being provided in 14000 Schools in the State of Haryana across 22 Districts sub-divided in 5 Divisions and Zones for ease of operations.
A Pilot Program was executed at GSSS Nilokheri in Haryana for 534 Students who were counselled using the Brain Checker Testing Tools. The Key Findings were remarkable as enumerated as under:
- 96% Teachers Appreciated the Test and felt that such Programs were necessary for students
- 98% Parents Appreciated the Counseling Quality
- 100% Parents felt that such programs were a necessity
- 97% students felt that the Brain Checker Psychometric Test helped them make an informed career choice.
Franchises are encouraged to liaison with Corporate Houses for funding and execution of such programs at local levels targeting students from the Below Poverty Line (BPL) Strata.
“The CSR provisions within the Act is applicable to companies with an annual turnover of 1,000 crore INR and more, or a net worth of 500 crore INR and more, or a net profit of five crore INR and more. The new rules, which will be applicable from the Act lists out a set of activities eligible under CSR.”
As per the latest guidelines issued by the Government of India, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, The CSR spend of such companies has to be at least 2% of their Annual Net Profit, which is mandatory as per the directives of the Government. Most companies prefer to spend the amount in or around their vicinity, village, town or district, because this helps them gain immense local credibility and mileage.
Franchises are provided all necessary documents and approval letters enabling them to approach local entities to seek such funding’s for Counseling Programs, since Educational CSR Spent is No.1 within all categories of CSR Expenditures with more than 41% of CSR Spend happening within the Educational Domain across India.
